Peek A Boo ("we," "us," or "the app") is made for families with children under 13. We take your family's privacy seriously and designed the app with that in mind. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — written in plain language, not legalese.
Peek A Boo is listed in the Apple App Store Kids category and is intended for children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
A parent or legal guardian must create and manage all accounts. Children cannot create accounts on their own. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child without verified parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without proper consent, please contact us immediately at hello@landfaraway.co and we will delete it promptly.
We collect only what is needed to make the app work for your family:
We do not collect device identifiers, location data, or any information beyond what is listed above. We do not use advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking of any kind.
We do not sell, rent, or share your family's data with third parties — ever.
Parents can sign in using Apple Sign-In or an email magic link. With Apple Sign-In, Apple provides us with a secure identity token — we do not receive or store your Apple ID password. With email sign-in, we send a one-time verification code to your email address; no password is created or stored.
All content is stored locally on your device by default. Parents can optionally enable cloud sync in the app's Settings. When cloud sync is turned on, child profiles, face photos, and user-generated content are uploaded to our servers hosted on Railway (US-based infrastructure).
Parents have full control over cloud sync and can turn it off at any time in Settings.
We keep your data only as long as your account is active and cloud sync is enabled. You can delete your family's data at any time:

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all cloud communication and secure token-based authentication.
If we make meaningful changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify parents through the app where appropriate.
